Nickelodeon and USA BMX have teamed up - along with many other sports organizations and celebrities. If you tuned in to Nickelodeon TV on its 10th annual Worldwide Day of Play - held on September 19-21, all you would've found was a blank screen encouraging kids to go outside and play. NO TV.

USA Cycling announces dates for their 14 distinct National Championships
The two BMX national championships are two weeks apart in May. The USA Cycling Elite BMX National Championships are slated for May 3 in Chula Vista, Calif. Two weeks later, the USA Cycling Amateur BMX National Championships are slated forMay 17 in Albuquerque, N.M.

ABERDEEN EXCHANGE BMX's $25k PRO/AM
The Aberdeen track is located smack-dab in the middle of the town. Literally. With a fairly small population of 26k, Aberdeen Exchange BMX was about to put up one dollar per person for their famous Pro/Am. This would be the first weekend that this race wouldn't be held on Labor Day - and it was tied in to their State Championship Final (which would be held on Sunday), and America's finest pros and elder ams made the trek to South Dakota for a shot at the $5,000 first place check and Championship title belt.
