Coaching Renewal

NOTICE

*All renewing coaches are now required to complete the CDC Heads Up for Coaching Online Concussion Awarness Training Module and submit the certificate obtained.

**All renewing coaches are now required to submit their Local New Rider Program form with a Track Operators signature.

All of the dates on the New Rider Program Form must be entered into the online track scheduler and approved by the coaching department before your coaching license will be renewed.

RENEWALS

Coaching Licenses need to be renewed each year by their expiration date or your name will be taken off the coaches database and you will be unable to coach at a USA BMX track until you have met your renewal requirements.

PROCEDURE

Step 1.
Fill out the renewal form below.

Step 2.
Pay your annual coaching license fee, by using the Coaching Payment link.
Track Operators may skip Step 2. There is no annual fee if you are an active Track Operator, however Track Operators must keep thier background check's and Basic First Aid and Adult and Pediatric CPR certifications current to renew.  (Step 3)

Step 3.

  • If your Background Check, Basic First Aid and Adult and Pediatric CPR certifications are up-to-date (within 90 days) at the time of your renewal a new Coaching License will be sent to you.
     
  • If your Background Check, Basic First Aid and Adult and Pediatric CPR certifications are NOT up-to-date at the time of your renewal you must retake your background check and email your new Basic First Aid and Adult and Pediatric CPR certifications to [email protected]

  • Recently, we've partnered with a company to offer Sexual Abuse Awareness Training to all adults who are getting a background screen to work with the children of our sport. These training videos are 10 short videos that will take around 1 hour to complete. At the end of that, there is a quiz that is about 25 questions related to the topic. A score of 70% or better is required to pass the quiz, which should be easily attainable. This training should be renewed every two (2) years and the AbusePreventionSystems.com website will keep track of that due date. USA BMX covers the cost of the training, so there is no cost to you.
     
    Once that is completed, we will send a Code Of Conduct via DropBox Sign for you to sign. This document covers appropriate interactions with children. You can digitally sign that document from any device.
     
    These new measures are being put in place to better protect the children within our sport and your compliance with getting these items done and documented helps us to keep our insurance costs reasonable in this day and age - when insurance costs everywhere are skyrocketing. Thank you for your continued commitment to the sport of bicycle motocross and for your cooperation in keeping our sport safe!

      

Step 4.
Once everything has been reviewed by the Coaching/Membership department, your coaching license will be renewed.
