Proud BMX Dad who raced NBL in 1982 - 1984. Hometrack was outside of Denver Colorado @ The Adams County Fairgrounds. Fast Forward 36 years and I am back on a BMX Bike, thrilled to be in the 46 - 50 Class.
In 2017 I found out about USABMX on accident while talking with "Big Rig Bill Davis", who commented, "my son races BMX not far from here", and I replied with enthusiasm!, "What? I raced BMX in the 1980's"and he replied, "I did too".
We talked for a while, he had showed me pictures of his son and his bike and we swapped tales about the old days. When he left I had enough information to find Katy BMX and USABMX.
I couldn't wait to introduce my son to BMX, that was early July 2017. We made it Katy BMX (Sunday / Funday) and were warmly welcomed by the USABMX Community.
Last year my son (Jacob Hubbell) finished, Texas State #8 for his class (10 Year Old Intermediate). I was so proud of him.
We love USABMX and the BMX Community, I have no idea how many miles I have driven to attend events, just that there is no place we would rather be than at a USABMX Track with the USABMX Community.............. Amen!

I started racing in May 2021 with no prior BMX racing experience at the ripe age of 40. I came over from mountain bike riding which I continue to MTB ride and now race as well. Jointed Texas Regulators team in Jan 2022.
My three kids started racing BMX in order to compete at the individual level rather than only on a team. We are a football family. As beginners to BMX they rarely pull off a win and leave the track discouraged. I decided to join them in the BMX world for the purpose of illustrating how to lose with dignity, learn from the experience, work to improve and move forward.
