Finally doing what I should have 30 yrs ago... Teen years spent doing crits on road bike and after roughly 30 years away from it all in 2016 got into Ultra Cycling. Decided that the enormous amount of time training and racing was not enjoyable anymore nor did it fit into my family time. Started looking into BMX and see that it has grown very much into a family sport not to mention cost and time training will never be near what Ultra Cycling entails. Look forward to the 2018 racing season and pushing the 48 yr old mind & body to the max!

John has loved riding his bike since he got his first one in 2013. He works hard to excel in whatever type of riding he does and rides alongside his Dad (who he inspires and makes proud every single day) whether it be a leisurely ride on the boardwalk, a flatland session on a basketball court, or a trip to a small skatepark. John visited the track with his father in October of 2015 to watch the State Finals and was excited within minutes of the first moto to race his bike on the dirt as soon as possible. He wanted to get in the gate that day. With the proper equipment John returned to the track a few weeks later and has done very well with his riding and in improving his skills on the track. In the past year John has made friends at the tracks, learned so much about sportsmanship and trying your best and about always having fun in the process. BMX Racing has become a big part of his life and he loves every minute of it. In October 2016, a few weeks short of the one year anniversary of his first race, John earned his tenth win and moved up to Intermediate making his family and himself very proud of his accomplishments. John is now helping his little brother (who recently went to his first Strider race) learn to ride better and faster.

After too many years pretending to be an adult I got back on a BMX around 2014 when my older son got his first bike. Mainly rode freestyle and flatland (just like the old days) until one day we stopped by Central Jersey BMX to watch a State Race I saw mention of on Facebook. We were hooked immediately and now racing is the focal point of our lives outside of work and school. We love the sport and the friends we've made along the way. Proud members of team Damage Inc.
