Started racing in the early 80s, mainly because my brother was racing. And as a younger brother, I had to do what my older brother was doing. I didn't much put any effort into it. Fast forward to 2013 and the Tulsa Grands. Had it not been for a racing buddy in that event and USA BMX live streaming the video, I may never have taken an interest in racing again. My first big event was the 2014 Midwest Nationals in Rockford. And I can tell you, ive got a fever. And the only prescription.....is more racing !!!

I have been racing since 2006. I started racing in Aberdeen, SD with my nephews. They have since quit racing but I have not. I raced 3 years living in Aberdeen. Then moved to Bismarck ND for 4 years where I continued my journey. I then moved to Fargo and continued with my racing career. I moved to Minnesota in early 2015 and made Rum River BMX my home track until early 2017 and I just keep on racing. I raced cruiser for the first 2 years and I have raced both class and cruiser for the last 12 years. I have won 11 state titles in my 14 years of racing. I love the sport and will race until my body tells me that I can't. Pedal fast and don't look back. Nobody sits on the bench.

“If you train hard, you’ll not only be hard, you’ll be hard to beat.” – Herschel Walker I remember my first time on the starting hill. I didn't look that big until I stood on top of it. After a couple of deep breaths I pushed on the pedals and headed into my BMX career. That was 2012 when I started and I've never looked back. Over the last few years I've been blessed to have literally dozens of riders and coaches offer their insight and guidence. Riders willing to help with learning the techniques and skills required to be a successful racer. Willing to work with that 'new' guy without making me feel foolish. Since 2014 I've dedicated myself to passing that same philosphy on at my local track. As a coach I enjoy the opportunity to share what I have learned to work with new riders (and some not so new.) I love working with a group or individual and then seeing them take their first lap, make their first main and pick up that first win. I love going to Grands and cheering them on. I love seeing them progress on and turn intermediate, then expert. It is always the best feeling to see rider develop over the time and know that in a small way I may have helped them way back at the beginning. At Yukon BMX we are committed to helping every rider become the best they can be. To make every rider feel like part of our BMX family. We strive to provide a first class facility, rider focused service and to be an organization that people want to be a part of. And, of course, we are always interested in hearing how we can do a better job.

Been racing for the last 5 yrs., for the second time around ! Raced when I was younger back in the late 70's early 80's ! And by what a difference it is now, tracks are a lot more difficult now !! Remember when you could power slide into a turn and get back on the gas ! What were clip shoes, everybody was on flats in all skill levels !! Over the last couple years I have been racing more races each year, doing more state races, gold cups, and nationals ! I have also been too the Grands twice now ! For anyone that hasn't been, I would suggest going at least once ! It's a fun time and a lot of competition, shows where you stand when you race people from all over the county ! My home track in an old NBL track called Hire Park BMX in Warsaw Indiana ! The people there are so friendly and fun to race with ! The TO does an awesome job at announcing the races, that I think should be doing Nationals !

I have had my share of races over the years and wouldn't change it for nothing! Met some of the best people and made some great friends across this country because of this sport!
