My life and passion is BMX and teaching! I first raced BMX age 4 at both Black Mountain and Chandler BMX. I did few races and took a break from the sport until age 11. Races pushed on too late into the night when I was a little kid so for these 7 years my dad would take my brother and I on long hikes and bike rides more days than not, also doing Karate on the side. When I got back into the sport we went full in and I moved from the novice ranking to expert in under 3 months, racing 3-6 days a week, by age 12 I manualed my first whole rhythm and started training other kids at that age. Going into high school my passion was fitness and BMX all the way, probably the only kid to have taken 5 weights classes during highschool. At age 17 I started training with an Athletic functional trainer Damon Shelton a prior BMX,MTB and road bike proffesional winner and Nike trainer at Method Athlete where I also now work at as a personal traininer for the passed 3 years located behind Scottsdale Quater in Scottsdale. At age 18 I won The RaceOfChampions in 19 and over open and decided to turn pro and also start my own team X FACTORY, a trophy team which still runs today and I now ride for myself. My first A pro race I podiumed both days at the Chulavista Olympic training center with over 40 A-Pro sign ups. Since then my career has been riddled with nagging injuries holding me back from reaching the top step of the podium, however my passion for teaching BMX and fitness moves on and I have full intentions of finding my way back to the front of the pro races and on the podium again within this next year!
I've been fortunate to have grown up with a large backyard tack we started at age 8 where I spent %100 of my freetime, it was a place I could hone in my skills and develop my unique style for working with riders primarily based off of specific skill to challenges/games. Since age 12 I have taught 3-7 skill/training clinics nearly every week, with a total of 1,300+ bmx clinics and 100+ gym training sessions and built/rebuilt 40+ backyard/real bike tracks.
This is one of the most fun sports on the planet and I belive we may have the best local tracks in the country this year. My goal is to teach each rider as much individual info possible for them to use toward making their time in the sport as fun and as fast as possible!
