With social hype and team pit talks, here is who we know is taking their speed to open qualifying.
Fresh off their Challenge World Titles, Vegas local Cedric Cade and 2021 USA BMX National No.1 Amateur Girl Ava Corley bring their amateur domination to the SoCal dragstrip. Joining the World Champs in the amateur ranks, a particular avian-human hybrid is looking to get his Birdman power to the show. Rennen's Brandon Crain has been on the big stage before, and with an unbelievable 2-3 pedal, Crain looks to test his sprocket as he puts the power down the first straight.
With any big race coming to a local program, there's always the local contingency. For San Diego BMX, that contingency lies on Joel Williams's shoulders. After not seeing Williams on the national series since 2018, the local San Diego community and USA BMX staff members are eager to see where the former NAG contender lines up out of turn 1.
With big names on the track, fence line, and the mic, The San Diego BMX Holeshot Challenge is bringing a new format of racing into the spotlight of BMX.
