All Volunteer Run

Like most BMX tracks in the country, Blue Springs BMX is completely volunteer-run. There are no paid staff at our track, only people dedicated to the sport of BMX and our community.

We are always looking for volunteers who are willing to donate their time toward making Blue Springs BMX run as smoothly as possible. Opportunities to contribute exist in virtually every aspect of the track's operations.

Track Preparation

Track work nights are designated on an as-needed basis. These evenings (non race or practice night) at the track involve preparing the track for riding. These tasks may include raking the dir, repairing holes or ruts in the track surface, and general grounds clean up. It's an essential part of maintaining a safe and family-friendly environment for our members to enjoy.

Volunteer Opportunities

Announcing - Ideal for those who love to be the life of the party.

Concessions - Are you good with an iPad? Do you want to help make money for our track? DO you want to stay out of the heat or the cold? Do you like making people happy? Do you enjoy grilling? Come join us in concessions!

Corners - Get close to the action -best spot in the house. Come volunteer for a corner. Get involved in your kids fun. Volunteers make this sport happen.

Gates -Are you a go getter? A driven leader? Then maybe running the starting gate is the job for you. The gate starter is the absolute authority on the hill and has full responsibility for all aspects of the start of the race.

Loaner Bikes/Helmets - Perfect for those who would prefer to help pre and post race. Help get the kids who need to borrow a bike or a helmet all dialed in for the night.

Opening Procedures - Help get the track ready for the kids. Includes making sure the track is watered and ready to go for the night!

Scoring - Are you detail oriented, like numbers and have a good attention span!? Do you like being in the race action at the finish line!? Scoring may be a perfect job for you!

Sign Ups - Are you a people person, have basic computer skills and enjoy being part of welcoming people to our track!? Sign ups just might be the job for you!

Special Events/Fundraising - Are you a social butterfly that likes to get to know people and talk? And at the same time make money for the track! If so Special Events fundraising may be for you. If you have a loud voice and not afraid to use it… we need you!

Staging - How do you feel about a fast-paced, up-close & personal to the riders, full of talking kind of role? That’s what you get in staging. We have a lot of fun getting to encourage the riders & pump them up. If it sounds like something you’d like, this is the spot for you!!

Facebook Live - Would you rather be behind the camera than in front of it? Watch racing from high above the track from the bird's eye perch of the tower while providing our at-home audience with the live racing action from Facebook Live.
