The Great Northwest Nationals weren’t just great. They were EPIC.
After six years at the Hooker Creek Event Center, you never know what to expect when you roll into Redmond, Oregon. While we (gratefully) didn’t see minus-degree temperatures, snow or rain, the winds did blow in more than 250 motos of spectacular racing action.
The USA BMX World converged on to the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in East Monroe, LA for another exciting episode of the 2013 National Series. With a great, fun and fast track and killer competition, the action was as awesome as ever. The 2013 Dixieland Nationals turned out to be another record-breaking turnout for USA BMX - and along with it, as usual, came some incredible race action. You'll have to wait until the next issue of PULL magazine to read more - but for now, here are some photo highlights from the weekend...
They say everything is bigger in Texas. If you were talking about the moto count, Saturday was the biggest ever at 286. If you’re talking about dark storm clouds and 30 mph winds, they were also big.
With over 250 motos, the 2013 Great Northwest Nationals saw some incredible action throughout the weekend. The USA BMX crew built a great track inside the Hooker Creek Arena at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds. Here are some highlights for your viewing pleasure.

Since 2008, USA BMX and USA Cycling have teamed up for the USA Cycling BMX National Championships. For this year the championship will be held in Nashville, Tennessee at Music City BMX. This stand-alone event has been the only qualification process for U.S. riders to qualify for the World Championships.
