We have raced about 4 races in the new class. We thouhgt it would have been a struggle for her to race faster kids but No. She once again is coming in HOT. We already have 1-3rd place & 3-2nd place wins. She is already so close to getting a First. I'm proud of her racing skills. She just keeps getting faster every time she gets on the track. 

She did it! She got win #10 Saturday, August 13th.  We had a fantasic weekend of racing. It all started Saturday morning with the make up race from the rain out on Thursday night. What a fantasic weekend of state races! The rain stayed away & the tracks looked good. It was very exciting to see all the racers & their families. Being our first year this is all still very new & exciting. I loved seeing the out pouring of support for both or local tracks with people from all over Ohio. I look forward to seeing them again in the future. BMX seems to be .... our thing

This weekend is going to be BIG! Both of our local tracks are having their State Races. We will be busy racing & helping out as much as we can. Optomistic about her possibably getting her tenth win durning all of this because it is very possible. I really feel she is that good for her age.   

We are now up to 8 First place wins in Novice class. After not making the Main for the first time on Sunday while races bigger & older kids. I thought she would get discouraged but she wasn't she came into this week with a vengus! Ready to Krank & Pedal as best & as fast as she could. She did it! She has been at it again this week. Amazing me! We raced 2x this week. On Thursday she raced 9 & 10 year old boys & still came in 2nd place. On Friday, she brought home 1st place win #6. Sunday we will be traveling to a track she has only been on once before. I'll be impressed with whatever she gets! 

We are now at the half way mark to moving to Intermediate Class!  We have 5 1st place wins out of a total of 13 races this year. This is an amazing accomplishment for someone that just started this year. The passion & want is definatly there!  

Thursday, July 7th 2022. Kelsey won her forth 1st place race. She is quickly pedaling her way to the next class.  She is still very much enjoying herself riding! She hates rain days! Since we lives so close to the track, we sometimes find ourselves just going to ride. 

This week has had it challenages to say the least. Kelsey fell at practice on Monday night & needed 3 stitches. Stitches did not stop her from practicing again on Tuesday night or racing this week. On Thursday she earned another 1st place trophy & on Friday she earn another 2nd place.  As a parent I am completely amazed to see her commitment & drive to the sport. On Thursday June 23, 2022 at the Cleves BMX track, Kelsey got her first ever 1st place win. She just began racing this year. It all started just because she wanted to ride her bike. Grandpa took her to our local track here in Cleves. The very first night she rode a strandard old Kmart special. Again she just wanted to ride!  Everyone sees her potentail.
