This past weekend I competed in a 3 day USA Bmx competitive competition. Friday Night, 14 May, 2021 in Burlington Bmx I started my awesome weekend racing National #1 Jeremy Thompson and my old buddy from back in the day, James Holder. I also raced Cruiser Class against two 17 year old experts and two other riders who were "Cruiser" determined to beat me. I came away with a 3rd place podium in Expert Class and then a 1st Place finish on Cruiser. This local race marks my 5th local race on both bikes on the hunt for the USA Bmx NC State Title. On Satruday 15 May, 2021 I competed in the USA Bmx Gold Cup Regional in Burlington, NC. I won the 2nd Cruiser qualifing moto of the day and felt strong. In the Cruiser main I got pinched at the top of the 1st turn which caused me to try and weeve my way to the front. Unfortunately, it did not happen the way I invisioned that race would go. I ended the Cruiser Regional race with a 4th place main appearance. Expert Class, at this years Gold Cup Regional in Burlington, gave me chance at GOLD Cup #1 with a win in Class. Same guy, (don't know the guys name) who won Cruiser Class, riding a similar Meybo frame thought he was going to win but I won all the motos on this day to include the main. Sunday marked the second stop of the USA Bmx NC State Series. I proceeded to dominate my competition in Class with a 1st place finish and came away with a 2nd place podium behind Fayetteville's own, Steve Sherman. I do recommend Burlington Bmx to any traveling up and coming bmx rider who likes racing on Friday nights.
