Major shout-out to Drew Polk!

Last Saturday, we had a clinic after racing at the Hill BMX in Elgin, IL. We were afraid it would be postponed due to the rain, but Drew adapted his plan to teach us how to ride much safer in the rain. Fortunately, the turns at the Hill were treated last year to add grip, so they already gave us some help there. From how to handle turns in the rain to staying safe in a potentially wet gate, it ended up being a great clinic. It was fun, and as one of the only two adults there, I got a kick out of seeing him work with the kids. He's a natural. I hope BMX and YouTube carry him through his life, but if he ever needs another career, he'd be a hell of a teacher. Just sayin'!

Drew's a real nice guy. Can't wait until next year!
