Wylie “The Coyote” Allen was born August 16, 2015, walked at ten months, climbing on the refrigerator by eleven months, and was on a bike when he was three. He has shown limited self-preservation instincts for the entirety of his life, which seems to serve him well in his chosen sport. Wylie was first introduced to BMX as a sport by riders/mentors on the Aftershock team, as they noticed him spending an inordinate amount of time wearing out tires at Alameda Bike Park. He rode there for 2-3 days a week for 5-6 months before getting his first opportunity to race on February 2, 2021, at Wild Chile BMX down in Las Cruces, NM. Wylie took 1st in the Duke City Gold Cup Qualifier and a 2nd in the Duke City NM State Qualifier. Wylie has raced 3 Nationals this first year of racing so far. He made mains in the 5N class once in Desoto at his first National/2nd actual race. He recently took first place on days 1 and 2 of the Grand Mesa Nationals at Grand Junction, collecting his 9th and 10th Novice win, which advanced him to an Intermediate rider. Wylie recently located to Texas from Albuquerque in the fall of 2021. At the end of the 2021 season, Wylie ranked 16 in TX06 in class and 36 in TX06 in cruiser. Lookout 2022, Wylie is one win away from expert and chasing the NAG.
