Its has been a fun summer as we have been going to all the state Q's. Matt has been racing hard and meeting some great riders. He has been racing for the BMX track supply team and they have been having a great season. Last yeart Matt was the youngest member of the team and his teammates took his under their wings and helped us understand BMX racing and how get threw a state race. so this year Matt has three younger teammates and he has been having fun with them at the races while they wait for their motos.
Matt also has been able to get use to using clip shoes this summer and he is trying out a new gear on his bike. He has been having fun with Cole Fredricks this summer as they are teammates and have been racing a lot together this year. When they race each other a lot and they have fun doing it. It is great to have a friend where your go out and race really hard on the track then turn around after the race and go eat pizza together while they are waiting for the next race to start.
BMX racing is a family sport over the past two years while Matt has raced both his dad and I have learned alot about BMX and help out with our local track. My husband runs the gate while I help out in the office and any where else I'm needed. Our track is like one big family and we enjoy going to races with our team.
