On May 24th Dane became the first World Champion of 2012 by winning the 6 Boys Class at the UCI BMX World Championships in Birmingham, England. In August he won the USA-BMX Western Divisional Championships, in October he won two Redline Cup Regional Championship titles and in November he won the Presidents Cup / Race of Champions (ROC) Championship and the highly coveted USA-BMX National Age Group (NAG) Championship for a total of 7 major championship titles. With only 3 months to prepare and get himself back up to a world class level, Dane went to Auckland, NZ in July to defend his World BMX title and did Team USA proud by winning every single heat, qualifier and the main event to become a 2-time, back to back BMX World Champion. In August, Dane earned his first Cruiser class title by winning the California State Championships in the 7 Cruiser Class. In September, Dane earned his 2nd Cruiser title by winning the Western Divisional National title in the 7 Cruiser class. Started riding bmx in Vermont in 2010. Started out on a Huffy bike bought at kmart, at the end of 2010 got my first race bike. Raced my new felt for 2011 season, got picked up on my first team in 2011racing with low budget. In 2012 sold the felt and jumped on to a double cross bike joining the rider development team had a great time with the new bike and team family. In 2013 started racing on doublecross national team. Was also my first year riding cruiser class took vt 1. Made intermediate in 2013 great year. In 2014 started racing cruiser class and 20 in. Riding matching bikes doublecross built, fell in love with the new bikes. Made expert in july of 2014.

I'm a humble USN Vet. I'm a Factory MAYHEM/SYNDYT/BOX rider from Fayetteville, NC. My LifeSkills as a former USN FMF Corpsman and Bmx competitor have enabled me to help veterans control severe PTSD symptoms with bicycle therapy rides at the Cape Fear River Trail here in sunny Cumberland County. Any veteran is welcome to join when I'm not competing.

I started racing as a kid in 1988 to 1992. Got back into racing in 2013 and I am having a blast with it as an adult!! Started in 1983 on a concrete track with wooden jumps and coke syrup turns. Stopped in 90 and started up again in 2012. Having fun is my number 1 goal while trying to get faster.
