The Warnicke Memorial Scholarship Fund:

The Warnicke Memorial Scholarship Fund successfully launched with one goal in mind – to meet the costs of undergraduate, trade school, or other educational avenues students wish to pursue. In 2019, $46,500 in Bob Warnicke scholarships have been awarded to deserving students and their families.

Funds are raised through a series of memorial races, the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, and private donors. Since 2013, USA BMX and BMX Canada has proudly awarded more than $290,000 to hand-picked recipients.

Bob Warnicke’s leadership and selfless efforts played an integral role in the surging growth of BMX; including the sport’s exposure to millions of viewers through ESPN’s airing of the “Road to Glory Series.” Warnicke’s legacy lives on by contributing to the futures of commendable USA BMX and BMX Canada members.  This year, 41 awards ranging from $500 – $3,000 were given to recipients across 28 states and 2 Canadian provinces.

“Each year, the pool of scholarship candidates and quality of applications continues to improve,” says B.A. Anderson, CEO of USA BMX.  “We are grateful to all of our tracks participating in the Warnicke Scholarship Race. Through the efforts of the tracks and private donors, we are able to continue to award these deserving students.”
