2015 is coming
With the 2014 season behind us the 2015 season is quickly approaching. During this off-season we are working on some track changes, some of which are already done and more to come. We also have the awards banquet coming up, state tuned for the date in January. Then, its on to the final prep of the track and the start of the 2015 season. The 2nd Annual Luck Cup Season Finale
The 2014 season is coming to an end and what a year it has been. We doubled the number of races completed and have added many new riders young and old. To celebrate such a great season, we are putting a bow on it with our Season Finale Luck Cup Race! A chance for us to gather one last time and enjoy riding our bikes around Richmond BMX, the Luck Cup is the perfect way to end the season. Returning to your normally scheduled program
Three weeks and three successful Friday evening races! While the turnouts were a bit smaller than our normal Sunday races, they have been a ton of fun and full of great racing. This was our first time running races on an evening schedule so they were a bit of an experiment and I am happy to say by all measures a SMASHING SUCCESS! FRIDAY RACING!!!
We are scheduled to race this Friday August 8th as a make up to some of the races we cancelled earlier in the season. Registration is 5:30 - 6:00 pm with racing as soon as motos are posted! We are also looking to run a Friday race the following two Fridays as next weekend is the VMP State Qualifier and the following week is Winchester BMX State Qualifier. State Qualifier Weekend is here!!
Wow time has been flying! The end of May is upon us and that means our big race weekend is here! Our normal practice schedule will hold true for this week, with gate practice scheduled for Thursday. Friday will be a track work day to be sure we have the track in peak condition for the weekend! Saturday things get started with our Race for Life Double Point race. New Rider HOLESHOT Clinic starts Tuesday 13th.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL NEW RIDERS!!! Richmond BMX is excited to kick off the first of 3 rounds in 2014 of our very successful NEW RIDER HOLESHOT PROGRAM This is a weekly skills clinic running for 6 weeks which is designed to teach new riders of all ages the basic skills that will help them become a more skilled and confident BMX racer. Schedule Update and other thoughts
To ensure that everyone has every opportunity to get down to Hampton BMX for the first Virginia State Qualifier of the 2014 season Richmond BMX will be OFF on Sunday April 6th. Hampton is planning on racing three time over the weekend, Friday Evening, Saturday for the State Qualifier race and then Sunday for their Warnicke Scholarship race. Get there, make a weekend of BMX! And for those diehards, VMP will be running on schedule so you have time to race Hampton Sunday and motor back to the RV...

Starting the 2014 season off right!
If you were to look outside the window on Monday the day after our 2014 season opener you would have been sure that the start of the BMX season could not be further away.
