Hey there Team Nickstickers, John and Sarah McKay!

“I started racing again in 2000 after I moved here. When John was about seven, he started taking an interest in the bikes in our garage. We brought him out to the track and he loved it. Sarah was 3 at the time and kept saying, "And me! And me!". The rest is history.

Despite being a major metro area, San Antonio lost it's only BMX racing track at the end of 2019. Thanks to the hard work and determination of some dedicated folks, a new track is in the works. BMX racing builds grit, confidence, and other mission-critical life skills. It's literally a breath of fresh air, getting kids off of their electronics and out of the house. There is great excitement surrounding the grand opening of the new Lone Star BMX 2.0, thanks in large part to your generous help. Join us...come outside and play!

John and Sarah love to ride their bikes. BMX racing has helped them physically, mentally and emotionally. Both are winners on and off the track! Best of all, they love the many friends they've made through the family-friendly sport of BMX racing.”
