Volunteering

KBMX is run fully on the parent volunteers to operate if we do not have volunteers we cannot run races or events. Many hands make light work. It also gives you an appreciation of the work it takes to keep the track in a safe condition for your kids. (or maybe yourself... There are many parents that ride too).

When you help out and get involved it helps create a sense of family within the club, also when your kids see you helping they see that you care about what they are doing and they will often try harder and in turn that increases their self-esteem.

Roles Needed for Volunteers to fill:

  • Gate Operator – run the gate (RACE DAYS, PRACTICE DAYS)

  • Snack Shack – sales, organize, inventory (RACE DAYS, PRACTICE DAYS)

  • Staging – make sure all riders are in correct moto and gate – 2-3 positions – top of hill, staging lanes and gate (RACE DAYS)

  • Finish Line/Scoring– score the racers as they cross the finish line (RACE DAYS)
