PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

 PARK HOURS: 
 Summer Hours: 5:00 am to 11:00 pm, seven (7) days a week. 
 Winter Hours: 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, seven (7) days a week. 
 
 
PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS 
 
 Parking and Driving, to include bicycles and other vehicles, are permitted only in 
designated areas. No overnight parking allowed. 
 Alcoholic beverages are prohibited, as is use of marijuana. 
 Charcoal fires are permitted only within a grill. All charcoal fires must be properly 
extinguished before the user leaves the park. No wood fires are permitted. Contact the 
Fire Department at 719-382-7800 to make sure there are no fire bans in effect. 
 Camping is prohibited in all CCMD parks. 
 All pets must be kept on a leash are and not permitted to run at large in any park. 
Additionally, all pet excrement must be deposited in a waste receptacle. 
 Hoofed animals are permitted; however, they must stay on Park roads, paved areas, trails 
or other areas designated for such use. 
 Littering/Dumping is prohibited – Trash receptacles are provided for Park related 
activities only. If no receptacles are available, all trash must be carried out of the Park by 
the person responsible for its presence. 
 Groups in reservation areas must produce a permit upon request. 
 It is unlawful to deface, damage or remove park property, including natural and historical 
objects. 
 Advertising/Soliciting is not permitted unless approved by District Management. 
 Operation of sound amplifiers/equipment is prohibited unless approved by District 
Management. All amplified music shall be controlled by user; sound levels must be 
maintained at levels that do not interfere with scheduled groups, other park patrons or 
surrounding residents. 
 Firearms, fireworks, and explosives are prohibited. 
 Boating and swimming are prohibited. 
 Regulatory Signs: it shall be unlawful for any person to violate rules, regulations and/or 
conditions governing the use of any park area as posted on regulatory signs. 
 Park Property: Persons using park property shall be responsible for any and all damages 
to property and injury to persons. This includes damage/removal of trees, flowers and 
grass. 
 Gambling and offensive language is prohibited. 
 Pollution of Park Waters is prohibited. 
 The harm and/or capture of any animal is prohibited.
