Spring thaw out and pre-season progress on track
The winter here in Michigan has tried to extend itself beyond what would be the norm. It doesn't matter because our board members have continued to work on the details which can make a difference between a good track and a great one. Much of what we have been doing is a follow up behind the changes we made to the first, third, and last straights. It's the grunt work that takes place while your going about your daily vicious circle of life. Cleaning up clumps of clay, rocks, overgrown foilage, and covered up drain tiles along with clearing the sides of the track to allow for better drainage of water off the track is probably 80% of what we been doing. Check out some of the pictures we have taken through out the whole process. In less than a month, the infield should be greening up and the track firm enough to allow for leaving your competition wishing they got the better gate snap. Our first race is Sunday May 3rd with an Open House on Saturday May 2nd for racer renewals and new rider sign ups. Come on our for our first race and experience the changes and flow of the track. We believe you will not only like it, but that you will be back to ride again and will bring your friends on the trip back.
