This past weekend I attended the 2021 @usabmx SouthEastern Regional Gold Cup Final.  Before leaving for this major race, I called USA BMX to get the details of what race would be the Finals.  I was told that I had to compete in Saturdays race to compete for the final on Sunday.  I left at 12am on Friday night and got to Blanchard Woods Bmx at 04:45Am.  After napping in the car I proceeded to get my TANBARK RACING ENTERPRISE/MEYBO 20" & 24" bikes for a spin around the park.  I suddenly realized that Blanchard Woods Bmx is in a Big Bowl Stadium type of Arena. (Check my instagram @roybmx1 for the walking Track Preview) I proceeded to win Class on Saturday and also came away with a 2nd place podium in my Cruiser Class.  Sunday was the final to put the power down and win.  I won my first Cruiser moto which qualified me for the main and I ended up winning my 46 -50 year old 20" Class as well.  Needless to say, I was stoked and confident into the main event at Blachard Woods Bmx.  Blanchard Woods Bmx remains to be the longest track in Georgia and I was excited to get the win again on both bikes.  I got the holeshot in my Cruiser main event but got swooped in Blanchard Woods second turn for a second place finish.  My 46 - 50 year old class featured a local competitor there who showed me his gear configuration of 49/18.  This gear allowed my competitor to get the holeshot and win.  I don't have any regrets about not changing my gear to match my competitor at this very long track.  I know I could have beaten him because I did so on Saturday's triple point race.  All in all I had a great time and finished with TWO #2's for the 2021 USA BMX South East  Regional Final.  Peace and Love to all my sponsor and supporters to include @boxbmx @boxcomponents #boxlevelupprogram @odigrips, @spyoptics @leattprotective @bldgactive @veerubbertireco @rynopowerperformance @factoryeffex @unionsquareshoeco @tanbarkracing @ncbmx @davelongbmx @bellracinghelmets
