Saturday’s Pre-Race double, JT has been very excited about this event. The last time he was at Winnebagoland BMX he got win #8 on Saturday and struggled in the State qualifier Sunday.
This time out he was sporting and new unproven Redline Flight. As he was on the new bike, he was entered into the 6 and under mixed open, and the 7 and under Cruiser class. This would allow him to test both bikes and see where he was more comfortable for the big event on Sunday.
He was grouped with the 8 year old Cruiser class and held his own but just couldn’t make the main event. In the 6 and under mixed open he was running consistent but finished 6thin the first moto, he was having trouble on the long flat track. I quick gear change between moto’s was the golden ticket and BOOM he won the 2nd moto by a large margin. In the main he got pinched out of the gate and finished a strong 5th in the mixed open.
