When you go from not walking and being in a wheelchair just a month before the 2019 season started to getting on a bike 2 weeks after getting on my feet to finding yourself in a title hunt at mid season and finishing the season with a new team and sponsor for the following year signed, sealed and delivered... I have to praise God for that.
I never ever thought that the following things would happen...

  1. I would do more than just roll off the gate and cross the finish line
  2. I would be in the top 10 of a state series before the state finals
  3.  I would be in the top 3 in district all season long
  4. I would be in the Top 100 NAG in 46-50 Cruiser
  5. I would be in the Top 1200 in cruiser overall Nationally
  6. I would race one let alone 4 national days across 2 national weekends
  7. I would earn an invitation to the Race of Champions

I am so humbled as I look back... I'm not in the sport for awards, although they are nice, I'm in it because I still can be. 1 day of going all out releasing the stress of being a broadcast engineer for 16 radio stations and a audio engineer for a cable sports channel. BMX racing alone has it's rewards and i feel blessed to know God has allowed me to continue to do it.

In 2020 I will be 51 years of age, I go back to the ranks of co-factory sponsorship (Although not full factory) I'm blessed with the opportunity to join Crupi Team Green for 2020 riding one of the brands I have admired throughout my BMX years. I want to thank Greg for believing in me and trusting me in a role that will hopefully reflect positive on the brand and company.

I have been toying with the idea of finally retiring from the sport at 51. This will not happen... I see a few good years left if I play my cards right, with training and conditioning with my team at Sanford Power Center in Fargo. One of the few professional sports medicine training an injury prevention centers in the upper midwest.

So as we watch 2019 go to pass... here is to 2020! and a whole new year! New image, and new attitude.

Salud!
