It''s easier to say this after the event than before. But this was my first BMX race... ever. I have ridden around the parking lot and thru the yard before, but I have never hopped on a bike, suited up, and race against anyone. The folks at Rum River have an awesome facility and I was excited to learn the ropes as the #1 BMX track in the country. Thanks to the great volunteers who hosted the event and thanks to all the other riders who made the event memorable. And of course, getting a nice trophy made the whole experience worth while. Now on to find a new track for my next race.
